MSU Alumni Association announces summer send-off parties for new students, families

Welcome to the Mississippi State Family

More than 40 chapters and clubs of the Mississippi State University Alumni Association will host summer send-off parties for new MSU students July 18 through Aug. 8.聽

Now in its 19th year, this MSU tradition allows incoming first-year students, transfers and their families to meet with future classmates, alums, friends and current students to learn more about life at the university. The events also serve as a networking tool, enabling participants to establish meaningful connections with fellow Bulldogs near their hometown.

This year鈥檚 send-off parties will welcome new Bulldogs from across Mississippi as well as nine other states鈥擜labama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Students and their families are invited to attend the party in their local county or out-of-state area.

鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome these students to the MSU family,鈥 said Jeff Davis, MSU Alumni Association executive director. 鈥淪end-off parties connect new students and their parents with alumni and friends as they celebrate joining the proud and passionate Bulldog community.鈥
